Privacy policy
School Run Timer collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-in and no server of ours. Nothing you record in the app ever reaches us, and we could not look at it if we wanted to.
Your location is never used
The app does not ask for your location and cannot take it. There is no location permission, and no map, route-finding or traffic service of any kind. The only thing it knows about a journey is the moment you pressed Start and the moment you pressed Arrived.
What the app keeps, and where
- Your journeys, the names you gave your routes, and how long each run took, with the date and time you set off. All of it is kept on your iPhone.
- A backup copy goes to your own iCloud — the one this iPhone already uses, under your own Apple Account. It exists so a lost or replaced phone does not take months of timing with it. It is a backup and not a sync: the app only reads it to bring your own routes and runs back. It is not shared with anybody, and not with us. You can switch it off on the Backup page, and delete the copy from iCloud whenever you like.
- Nothing else. No contacts, no photographs, no microphone, no health data, no advertising identifier.
No tracking, no analytics, no advertising
There is no analytics of any kind in the app, no advertising, no third-party software development kit, and no artificial intelligence or machine learning running inside it. It works with no signal at all. Apart from your own iCloud backup it makes no network connection.
Children
The app is for the adult doing the driving. It asks for nothing about anybody else, and nothing about a child is recorded in it.
Purchases
The app is bought once on the App Store. The purchase is handled by Apple; we never see your payment details, name or address. There is no purchase inside the app.
Deleting everything
Deleting the app removes everything it kept on the phone. The iCloud copy can be switched off on the Backup page and deleted from iCloud in the usual way (Settings, your name, iCloud, Manage Account Storage).
