Bladder Diary & Chart Privacy Policy
Bladder Diary & Chart keeps the three-day bladder diary a urology, urogynaecology or continence clinic asks for, and prints it on the form they use. What you record is health information about you, and it is built so that none of it leaves your phone unless you send it somewhere yourself.
What the app collects
Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party software development kits of any kind. The app has no servers of its own. Your entries are stored only on your device, in the app's own protected storage, and are deleted when you delete the app.
Health information
Times, volumes, urgency scores, leaks, pads, drinks and any notes you write stay in the app's storage on your iPhone. They are never uploaded, never analysed anywhere else, and never shared with anybody, including us. We have no way of reading them. The app does not read from or write to Apple Health, and asks for no access to it.
Face ID and passcode
If you turn on the lock, the app asks iOS to confirm it is you with Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone passcode. Apple's system does the checking. The app never sees your face data or your passcode.
Printing, sending and backups
When you print or send the chart, the PDF is made on your device and handed to the printer, app or person you choose through the standard iOS share sheet. The same is true of the spreadsheet, and of the backup file, which is encrypted with a passphrase you choose, that the app does not keep and that nobody can recover for you. Where those files go afterwards is under your control, not ours. You can also put a passphrase on the PDF itself before you email it.
Reminders
If you ask to be reminded to keep the diary going, the reminder is a local notification scheduled on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere to make it happen, and the reminder text says nothing about your health.
Purchases
The optional unlock is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and keeps the purchase record. The app asks Apple whether the unlock has been bought; it never sees your name, payment details or Apple Account. Apple's own privacy policy applies to that transaction.
Network use
The only connection the app makes is to Apple's App Store, to read the price of the unlock and to confirm purchases. Everything else works with the phone in aeroplane mode.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and collects no information from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
